And so great were the blessings of the Lord upon us

 So, you wanna hear about my day? It was really good. Like really, really good. So good that when I read 1 Nephi 17:2 the Spirit whispered plainly to me that 'THIS is why you need to bear record: because the blessings of the Lord are great upon you.' Now when I say that the blessings of the Lord are great upon me, I am bearing testimony to His greatness, compassion, love, and tender mercies (1 Nephi 1:20). Here's a song I came across about tender mercies. I am not only talking about my individual blessings, but those of my family. My family of creation, my family of origin, my family of adoption, my Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints family, YOU as a spirit son or daughter of Heavenly Parents. This is my very first blog, and my very first blog post. That may sound simple but to me it is a HUGE deal and very scary and intimidating. Why? How so? Because the world is mean sometimes. Because sometimes people misconstrue what you're saying/writing/communicating. And, in some ways, I don't really like the idea of sharing my thoughts and feelings with what could be the whole wide world. I think it's important to make this public so as to magnify the Lord. He is the reason I am doing this.  I promise you, I am not perfect. I will make mistakes. I may be a lot of things that "the world" doesn't like right now, or maybe even be politically incorrect, because I don't know things. I don't know what I don't know. But for the most part I know what I do know, and I am blessed to know the Lord. He is my guide, Shepherd, and friend. I am such a bad friend to Him sometimes, and I am sorry for it.
